Newborn Session: Lila Grace
There is something so special about photographing a newborn. I don't know if its just the sweetness and innocence of the child or just the joy that is the eyes of the parents when they see the photographs. Just this year I started taking newborn and baby photographs and it has been an absolute pleasure. I wanted to share with you a recent newborn session with baby Lila.
With newborns, you want to capture these moments preferably within 14 days of being born. In this time frame they tend to sleep more, which makes it easier to pose. Lila was a pro at this. We would lay her down, she would cry for a quick moment and then right back asleep she went. This allowed me to get some great photographs knowing that she, for the most part, would not be moving around between every frame.
In addition to some posed shots, I spend some time just photographing before and after the session. Capturing that raw emotion from her parents interacting with her. She is their first and you can tell from the looks on their faces that they are absolutely in love with her (and also a little sleep deprived haha)
One of my favorite moments from the session is when laid Lila down with the family dog, Cooper. Cooper is such a good "big brother" and just relaxed the whole time while Lila was laying on him, even when she decided that grabbing a handful of hair and pulling would be fun.
Hope you enjoyed seeing a little bit from my session with Lila and her family. If you are looking for a photographer for your newborn session please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
